For The Bride
Choosing the Rings.
So you said “yes” well lets look at the rings.
Have you got an amount in mind that you want to pay, it is always better to have one and keep within your budget.
Firstly make sure your hands are warm when trying on rings, hands swell in heat and so if you are cold and the ring starts tight there could be problems later on.
There are so many to choose from, remember when you go and try that engagement ring on, and make sure you pick one that will fit a wedding ring and possibly an eternity ring on as well. Some fingers will only suit narrow rings, so make sure you try all kinds on.
Are you going to having matching rings if so it might be wise to pick the wedding rings first and then match the engagement one to it but make sure you both like the ring, they are on for a long time..
Plain or patterned, remember patterned are prettier but harder to match. Diamonds or no diamonds, if your engagement ring has no diamonds don’t have a wedding ring with lots in. This will spoil the look of your engagement ring.
Rings come in silver, gold, white gold and even titanium. Remember you will be wearing this the rest of your life so choose carefully. Then decide which carat you would like. 9 carat is the hardest wearing and will last the longest. Make sure your wedding and engagement are of the same metal otherwise they may react to each other.
You could even design your own rings or alter old family ones, remember this will cost extra.
For a nice effect why not get the insides of your rings engraved with your wedding date.
Wedding rings are the symbol of the love that you have for each other, they are blessed during the service and exchanged in front of the entire congregation. Traditionally rings were given to the bride by her new husband to show how wealthy he was. Nowadays rings are exchanged as a token of love.

The Dress
What fun it is, going to all the bridal shops trying on all those dresses, and do try on lots of different styles, lengths and even colours.
If you can’t find one you like remember what you liked about each individual dress and ask someone to make it for you. Be confident who you entrust this job too and not just someone who makes the odd dress. A wedding dress is a statement of who you are.
If you are intending to lose weight before your big day remember to try your dress in advance of your wedding so that alterations if necessary can be made in plenty of time. Work out what accessories will go with it. Remember the something old something new, something borrowed something blue tradition and don’t forget that all important garter. Once you have decided on the dress look for your shoes. Please wear something that you are going to be VERY comfortable in, it is going to be a very long day and the last you want is aching feet.
