Choosing the Rings.

So you said “yes” well lets look at the rings.

Have you got an amount in mind that you want to pay, it is always better to have one and keep within your budget.

Firstly make sure your hands are warm when trying on rings, hands swell in heat and so if you are cold and the ring starts tight there could be problems later on.

There are so many to choose from, remember when you go and try that engagement ring on, and make sure you pick one that will fit a wedding ring and possibly an eternity ring on as well. Some fingers will only suit narrow rings, so make sure you try all kinds on.

Are you going to having matching rings if so it might be wise to pick the wedding rings first and then match the engagement one to it but make sure you both like the ring, they are on for a long time..

Plain or patterned, remember patterned are prettier but harder to match. Diamonds or no diamonds, if your engagement ring has no diamonds don’t have a wedding ring with lots in. This will spoil the look of your engagement ring.

Rings come in silver, gold, white gold and even titanium. Remember you will be wearing this the rest of your life so choose carefully. Then decide which carat you would like. 9 carat is the hardest wearing and will last the longest. Make sure your wedding and engagement are of the same metal otherwise they may react to each other.

You could even design your own rings or alter old family ones, remember this will cost extra.

For a nice effect why not get the insides of your rings engraved with your wedding date.

Wedding rings are the symbol of the love that you have for each other, they are blessed during the service and exchanged in front of the entire congregation. Traditionally rings were given to the bride by her new husband to show how wealthy he was. Nowadays rings are exchanged as a token of love.
